As an artist, I've been honing my craft since my earliest memories growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. While other kids were outside playing, I was drawn to the solitude of my studio, surrounded by my tools and thoughts. My father, a dentist by trade, shared a talent for sculpting, though his medium was teeth. My mother made sure that I was exposed to the arts from a young age, even dropping me off at my uncle's place in New York City when I was just 9 years old. There we visited museums and galleries, and I knew immediately I needed to pursue a career as an artist.

In 1985, I was accepted to the School of Visual Arts, where I flourished and spent six years honing my artistic skills. Despite my dedication, I struggled to make a suitable living off my art and eventually decided to apprentice as a jewelry maker for the extravagant East Village designer Gregg Wolf. Over the years, I became a master in my craft, but the hustle and bustle of New York City left me with little space to create and make a living. It was then that I took the next logical step and moved to the inspiringly beautiful Ulster County countryside, drawn by its nature and artistic communities like New Paltz and Wood Stock. And the place of my current ceramic studio in Kingston NY.

Today, I specialize in creating sculptural vases, vessels, and boxes out of ceramics. Each of my pieces is meticulously crafted by hand with a deep passion for craftsmanship and an unwavering dedication to my art. I strive to create unique ceramic pieces that reflect my artistic vision and style, resulting in one-of-a-kind works of art. I invite you to join me on a journey into the world of handbuilt ceramics, where you can discover the beauty and artistry of my creations firsthand.
